Description

The Iranian Daf, also known as the Persian Daf, is a traditional and globally recognized musical
instrument played by male and female musicians worldwide. At qayffz, we introduced our first
assembly of this instrument in 2018 with the guidance of an Italian percussionist. Over time, we
have refined the design and functionality of this frame drum.
Qayffz’s Persian (Iranian) Daf features a steam-bent frame, ensuring durability and strength,
coupled with a delicate goat skin head. The instrument incorporates multiple small iron hoops
interconnected to create a harmonious and sacred sound when in contact with the skin. Our Dafs
can be personalized to suit individual preferences, offering options for wood type, size, and skin
variety.
